Join AWWEE's Bay Area Team for the 2026 Creek to Bay Day Cleanup at Lake Merritt! Help protect local waterways by removing litter alongside fellow volunteers while making a positive impact on the community. Cleanup supplies will be provided, and no experience is necessary.

After the event, continue the conversation at an optional AWWEE hosted networking lunch at Los Cantaros Taqueria. We hope you'll join us for a morning of service and connection!

Head to Touchstone Brewing Company for an evening of learning, networking, and trivia!

Hear from guest speaker Amy Talbot about the Regional Water Authority’s creative “Saving Water One Beer at a Time” campaign, which partners with local craft breweries to raise awareness about water efficiency and the important role water plays in making great beer.

Then, stick around for trivia at 7:30 PM, featuring general trivia with a few water and energy questions mixed in for our AWWEE crowd. Grab a drink, connect with fellow professionals, and put your knowledge to the test!

In-Person Event in Davis, CA

Did you know the Yolo Causeway is home each season to a large maternity colony of Mexican free tailed bats?

Each summer, the Yolo Basin Foundation hosts its popular Bat Talk and Tour, featuring an educational presentation, live rescued bats, and a guided tour of the wetlands.

The evening concludes with the unforgettable fly out, as thousands of bats take to the sky at sunset.

This webinar will explore the historical and policy factors behind inequitable flood risk and their continued impact on planning and infrastructure decisions. Participants will gain practical insights into the relationship between public policy, flood equity, and community resilience, along with strategies for fostering authentic community engagement.

In-Person event in Oakland, CA

Spend a meaningful day of service and connection with Acta Non Verba Farm (ANV Farm) in Oakland. This volunteer experience offers an opportunity to support urban agriculture while learning about ANV’s mission to advance food justice, youth empowerment, and community wellness.

Participants will assist with seasonal farm projects such as planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, and general farm upkeep. Activities will vary based on the farm’s needs.

This event is family friendly, and children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. A waiver is required for each child attending, but children do not need to register separately and there is no additional fee.

The AWWEE team takes the month of July off from events. We look forward to seeing you in August!

Take a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect during this special wellness event, featuring a yoga infused mat Pilates class designed to gently strengthen the body, clear the mind, and restore balance.

This session blends intentional stretching, mindful movement, and full body strengthening, ending with a calming cool down to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. The first 25 AWWEE members to register will receive a complimentary AWWEE branded yoga mat.

After class, enjoy light, nourishing bites, refreshing drinks, and time to connect with the AWWEE community in a relaxed setting.

Join AWWEE for an exclusive behind the scenes tour of UC San Diego’s innovative Energy Campus and microgrid system. Attendees will learn about the university’s decarbonization efforts through presentations from UC San Diego staff, a guided tour of the Central Utility Plant, and an overview of the advanced DERConnect microgrid project.

The experience will conclude with a zero waste networking lunch, where attendees are encouraged to connect with fellow professionals.

In honor of May’s Mental Health Awareness Month, this webinar offers a guided mindfulness meditation to help you pause, reset, and reconnect. Drawing from her six years at Casa Werma, a sanctuary for practice, reflection, and connection in Pátzcuaro, Mexico, Mayela brings a grounded and thoughtful approach to this experience.

Aimless Walking: Resetting Attention and Energy Through Open Awareness invites participants to slow down, reconnect with their surroundings, and step out of habitual thought patterns. The garden is within walking distance of the Convention Center, making it an easy and refreshing way to begin the day.
