Get Your Hands Dirty and Make an Impact at Lopez Urban Farm!
Spend the day learning, connecting, and giving back at Lopez Urban Farm! We’ll begin with light refreshments and networking in the farm’s outdoor kitchen, followed by a welcome and introduction from Bre Archambault, Director of Food and Resource Access.
Then, explore the farm during an educational, ecology focused tour of this 3.5 acre working farm located on Pomona Unified School District property. Along the way, you’ll discover the farm’s key growing areas and micro gardens, learn about its role in the community, and get a look at upcoming projects.
After the tour, it’s time to roll up your sleeves! Join Director of Farming and Education Stephen Yorba, Bre, and Cal Poly Fellows for hands on volunteer activities supporting the farm’s work. Participants will assist with food and resource distribution and farming tasks that directly benefit the surrounding community.
Come ready to learn something new, meet fellow professionals, and make a meaningful impact at this unique urban farm.
