Join us for a virtual information session to learn more about this meaningful leadership opportunity and the important role AWWEE's Board plays in guiding the organization.
This session is designed for AWWEE members who are considering applying for the Board of Directors, as well as those who simply want to learn more about Board service and what it means to help lead AWWEE.
During the session, you will have an opportunity to:
• Meet current members of the AWWEE Board of Directors.
• Learn about the Board's role in advancing AWWEE's mission and strategic priorities.
• Hear directly from current Board members about the rewards, responsibilities, and expectations of Board service.
• Learn more about ways Directors contribute to AWWEE through leadership, committee participation, events, fundraising, membership growth, and community engagement.
• Ask questions in an open and informal setting.
• Gain insight into the application and selection process before deciding whether to apply.
Serving on the AWWEE Board of Directors is an opportunity to contribute your experience, ideas, and perspective while helping shape the future of an organization dedicated to advancing women in the water, energy, and environmental industries.
Attendance at this information session is optional and is not required to apply for the AWWEE Board of Directors. Applications will open September 10, 2026 and close on September 25, 2026.
