UC San Diego Energy Campus & Microgrid Tour

Join AWWEE for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the University of California San Diego’s innovative energy infrastructure and microgrid system.

This educational experience will provide attendees with an overview of UC San Diego’s nationally recognized Energy Campus and decarbonization efforts, including a guided tour of the Central Utility Plant and a presentation on the advanced microgrid project, DERConnect.

The morning will include presentations from UC San Diego staff, opportunities for questions and discussion, and guided walking tours between facilities.

Attendees are encouraged to stay for a zero waste networking lunch following the program to continue conversations and connect with fellow professionals.

Registration is $10 for active AWWEE members.

Registration is $20 for nonmembers. Consider becoming an AWWEE member here!

Registration fees help support event coordination and the catered zero waste networking lunch provided for attendees.

Please note that registration will close on June 16, 2026. Cancellations received after June 16, 2026 are nonrefundable and will be considered a donation to AWWEE to help offset event costs and minimize food waste.
