REBECCA HAUSHEER
Rebecca Hausheer has been part of the AWWEE community since 2016, and an active volunteer for the Los Angeles Event Planning Team. Rebecca also led a workshop at the 2019 AWWEE conference, and shared that the experience was one of the most memorable she’s had as an AWWEE member. The session, “The Working Woman’s Guide to the Modern Workplace,” focused on work-life balance and impostor syndrome. The supportive energy of the audience and the attendees sharing their experiences reinforced the importance of creating spaces for women to discuss challenges and offer each other support.
As Director of Energy Services at The Energy Coalition, Rebecca leads a team of over 45 staff in designing and delivering clean energy programs across California. Her role involves managing contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and equipping her team with the resources they need to succeed. Her daily tasks range from strategy and planning to budget management and preparing presentations. Rebecca is particularly proud of the heat pump water heater initiative her team designed for public agencies, focused on benefiting underserved communities.
Rebecca is a snowboard instructor and certified in avalanche safety. You’re sure to find her on the slopes during her free time this winter! During the off season, Rebecca loves dancing in the air doing aerial acrobatics, including silks, hammock, hoop, trapeze, and her aerial moon (that she welded herself!). For her, aerial practice is a combination of moving meditation where her focus is on the here and now with an added benefit of building physical and mental strength. Rebecca has her aerial rig set up in her backyard, which she considers her own little oasis.
