IVANA DORIN
Ivana Dorin is a Program Manager at The Energy Coalition and has been an AWWEE member since 2012. She has volunteered to organize AWWEE events for several years and she currently serves as the Team Leader for AWWEE’s Orange County/Inland Empire team. Over the years, Ivana has attended over 90 AWWEE events. We asked which was her favorite and, not surprisingly, she picked the adventure to Catalina Island we hosted in August 2019, where she and fellow AWWEE members hiked the botanical garden, enjoyed a lovely lunch, toured the SCE facility in Pebble Beach, and ended the day with happy hour at the Catalina Island Museum.
In her role at The Energy Coalition, Ivana works with numerous public agencies across California, assisting with developing energy projects, energy action plans, and conducting community and stakeholder engagement. This past year, Ivana and her team had the special opportunity to share their program's success stories at two energy-focused conferences in California.
In her free time, you can find Ivana with her daughter and dog at the park, and making a stop for some ice cream afterwards, of course! She also enjoys reading and recently finished “One Green Thing” by Heather White. Ivana was born in the tiny eastern European country of Serbia, grew up in Canada, and settled down in California, making her Serbian-Canadian-American and she speaks Serbian, French and English.
