DANIELLE MULLANY
Danielle Mullany has served as the Team Leader for the AWWEE volunteer team organizing webinars focused on professional development. She has been an AWWEE member since early 2019 and has already attended 35 events! She says what she likes most about being a member is the women focused resources and the opportunities to meet new people who share similar values and interests. Danielle has also participated in the AWWEE Mentorship program twice now and says she feels fortunate to have had amazing mentors in the renewable energy fields.
Danielle belongs to AWWEE through her employment at the California Energy Commission (CEC) where she works as an Electric Generation Specialist. In this role, Danielle works on siting for floating offshore wind energy, identifying where in the ocean is suitable for offshore wind energy development. In August, Danielle earned a Superior Accomplishment Award from the CEC for her work in offshore wind energy resource planning in the Siting, Transmission, and Environmental Protection Division. The award is given to people in recognition of outstanding performance and contribution the CEC. Congratulations, Danielle! What she enjoys most about her job is the fulfillment from working on projects that will advance California’s clean energy and climate goals. She works with a wide range of people with expertise in energy and environmental topics, so she is constantly learning new things!
In her spare time, you can often find Danielle running with her dog -- she recently completed her first half marathon in just 2 hours! Danielle also enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with family, and going out for brunch. To wind down, she enjoys reading. Most recently, she read Saving Us: A Climate Scientist's Case for Hope and Healing in a Divided World by Katharine Hayhoe.
