Networking can offer significant value in expanding connections and opportunities for water, energy, and environmental professionals.

In this informative session, Shannon McGovern, Regional Public Affairs Program Manager at California Water Service, will provide strategies for effective networking.  From overcoming the anxiety of attending events alone, advice for confidently approaching and initiating conversations, to determining the types of connections you're looking to build and how to develop a game plan for making these connections and developing connections into fruitful relationships.

Following the presentation, we will have facilitated breakout rooms and a Q&A session.


Presented By:

Shannon McGovern, Regional Public Affairs Program Manager at California Water Service, is an administrative executive with diverse work experience in the water industry across public, private, and non-profit sectors.  She has extensive experience and knowledge in community relations, paired with strong project management capabilities for large water initiatives and ongoing brand-building programs.  She is passionate about collaborating with and leading teams of various sizes on ambitious water-related projects and endeavors. 

More specifically, she specializes in community and association relations in the water sector, development of key political and community stakeholder relationships, team building, and leadership development within water management and sustainability initiatives.
