From Tap to Tank: Exploring Water Treatment in Craft Beer at Stone Brewing

  • Stone Brewing 1999 Citracado Parkway Escondido, CA, 92029 United States (map)

Join us on for a sustainability tour of the Stone Brewing in Encondido followed by a networking lunch!

Greg Koch and Steve Wagner founded Stone Brewing, San Diego County's first craft brewery, in 1996. Today, they are the ninth-largest craft brewer in the U.S. Their beer is available in all 50 states and over 40 countries.

For over 25 years, Stone Brewing has made thoughtful choices to minimize the impact their business has on the planet and environment, including being conscious of sustainability practices in energy use, water conservation, recycling, and sustainable landscape management. Learn more about their sustainable practices here.

This event will start with a 1-hour tour of their brewing facilities, with a focus on their water treatment process in their state-of-the-art water reclamation facility. The tour will include tastings and a commemorative souvenir glass. In recognition of Zero Emissions Day, they will also talk about their EV charging capabilities and solar panels on site. Following the tour, we will enjoy lunch at the bistro (lunch and 1 beer per attendee will be hosted by AWWEE).

Registration

Registration is $20 for members and $40 for non-members.

Active AWWEE members may bring 1 guest at the member rate.
