MIRA CHOKSHI
Mira Chokshi is Founding Principal at Climate Adaptive Systems. After working for large organizations for 20 years, Mira started her own consulting firm in 2023 to provide consulting services to clients in the water sector. She is proud to be able to help multiple clients across the San Francisco Bay Area with diverse projects including identifying system operational issues using data analytics, forecasting operations using machine-learning, and reviewing climate adaptation plans.
As the owner of a new small business, Mira is learning to do it all. From accounting and business development to engineering and analysis and everything in between. Her work varies from project to project, but on most projects, she dives deep into technical details, gets creative with analysis, and communicates the outcomes to the involved parties. What Mira enjoys most about this endeavor is the ability to find a work/life balance by being selective about the projects she works on.
Mira originally took advantage of AWWEE’s hardship membership program as she was starting her consulting business. She stepped up early in her membership to volunteer on the Bay Area event planning team and she also contributes as a member of the AWWEE Board’s Membership Committee. Mira is to thank for organizing the upcoming tour of the Mission Rock Development. Her favorite thing about being a member of the AWWEE community is the opportunities to learn about a variety of topics in the water sector through in-person and virtual webinars. She also enjoys meeting inspiring women leaders.
In her free time, Mira enjoys taking urban hikes with her family. She also enjoys reading and most recently read the book The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.
