Linda Kraemer
AWWEE is delighted to spotlight Linda Kraemer as a valued member of our community. Since joining AWWEE in 2024, Linda has enjoyed connecting with women leaders across the clean energy, water, and environmental sectors while expanding her knowledge of sustainability and community centered solutions. She especially appreciates the supportive culture fostered through AWWEE events and networking opportunities. One memorable experience was attending an induction stove demonstration hosted by The Energy Coalition and supported by The Switch Is On, where attendees gathered to cook, exchange ideas, and learn more about clean energy technologies.
As Community Engagement Manager for Orange County Power Authority, Linda works directly with residential and business customers to provide education and support around community choice energy, renewable energy options, and sustainability resources. She values working for a not-for-profit, connecting face to face with people, and helping them find practical solutions to today's energy challenges. Linda is especially inspired by the innovation happening across the renewable energy industry, from advances in battery storage and recycling to programs that make clean energy more accessible for low-income communities.
In March 2026, Linda was honored with the Women Making a Difference Award by Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley under the theme “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”
Before entering the clean energy sector, Linda spent nearly twenty years working in psychology. Motivated by her experience growing up with asthma in polluted conditions in Santa Ana, she made the decision in 2018 to pivot careers and pursue Environmental Resource Management studies at Orange Coast College. Today, she combines her passion for environmental health with her people centered background to make a meaningful impact in her community.
Outside of work, Linda enjoys spending time at Fairview Nature Park in Costa Mesa, CA and has a deep love for music. She previously sang harmonies with her sister in an acoustic band and believes music has the power to heal. She is also inspired by climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe for her positive and empowering approach to climate communication.
