GINA WANSOR
Gina Wansor has been an AWWEE member since 2017, and we’re thrilled to have her as one of our Co-Team Leaders for organizing our virtual events. Gina has enjoyed the benefits of the AWWEE mentorship opportunities, learning from various events, and engaging with members both within and beyond the energy sector. She fondly recalls her first AWWEE conference in 2017 as an unforgettable experience, filled with inspiring discussions on industry changes and professional development.
For work, Gina is an Operations Project Coordinator at the California ISO. In this role, she provides project coordination and operational readiness for integrating new, large-scale transmission and generation assets. Gina focuses on leading process development to ensure seamless integration of complex assets into California ISO’s systems. Recently, she spearheaded the final preparations for California ISO to take operational control of the Ten West Link project, a 125-mile transmission line expected to deliver over 3,000 MWs of renewable energy to California and the Desert Southwest. With a rich background of Korean, Italian (Sicilian), and English heritage, Gina was born in England while her father served in the US Air Force, yet she is most known for her Florida roots. A proud University of Florida Gator, she leads the Sacramento Alumni club, hosting local events, engaging in community service, and awarding scholarships to local students attending UF.
Gina loves the vibrant lifestyle of Sacramento, enjoying hiking, wine tasting, and discovering new viewpoints of the city and mountains. Passionate about travel and quality time with family and friends, she recently visited Munich, Vienna, Prague, and Seoul.
