He is working to install an air to water heat pump (AWHP) that will provide hot water to the hydronic radiant floor he retrofitted into the home. The AWHP will also provide chilled water for the air handler to be installed in his attic; it will utilize a small duct, high velocity design for minimal ceiling intrusion. Some hobbies of Ryan’s include raising honey bees, living car free (since 2008), off-road and on-road bike touring, and enjoying both hot springs, and dry camps in his wood fired stove tent.
