Step back in time at PG&E’s Artifact Museum at the historic Vaca-Dixon Substation.
Join us for a member-only guided tour of PG&E’s Artifact Museum at the historic Vaca-Dixon Substation, led by Jim Patchen and Grace Eng. Explore a remarkable collection of tools, photographs, and memorabilia that bring to life PG&E’s early history.
Built in 1922, the Vaca-Dixon Substation was once the largest facility of its kind in the world—an engineering marvel that helped deliver hydroelectric power to the Bay Area. Today, its beautifully preserved Spanish Renaissance-style building houses a museum curated by PG&E employees, showcasing more than a century of innovation, craftsmanship, and teamwork. The site remains a vital part of PG&E’s regional infrastructure, supporting power transmission across the Bay Area.
We’ll continue the conversation over a catered Panera lunch following the tour. AWWEE will cover a portion of the cost, just let us know which boxed lunch option you would like on your registration form.
