About Our Presenter

Dr. Jennifer Brandon is a Senior Scientist at Applied Ocean Sciences, a collective of ocean consultants powered by their passion to the highest-caliber science and push the boundaries of technology and innovation outside the structures of academia.

Passionate about what she does, Dr. Brandon received her PhD in Biological Oceanography from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. Through her research in microplastic pollution, she became passionate about teaching people about how their daily choices have lasting impacts. Prior to her current position at Applied Ocean Sciences, she was the Price Postdoctoral Fellow at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution in San Diego.
