Mindfulness in Our Daily Lives: Finding the Space to Breathe

Mindfulness, a philosophical practice that has been around for 2,500 years, has only recently become a well-known and accepted practice in the U.S.  Even more recent is the science that affirms that changes in our brain from engaging in a consistent practice of mindfulness results in substantial benefits such as, reducing stress, improving sleep, increasing resilience, elevating concentration, enhancing empathy and compassion, and help in attaining overall well-being.

Even with these recognized benefits, putting mindfulness to work in our everyday life can often be challenging.  With the competing pressures of balancing personal and professional priorities, plus technology overload which has heightened during the pandemic, it is challenging to take a mindful moment.  This webinar will provide you with an introduction to mindfulness, hands-on practical applications and resources to extend your mindful journey well beyond our hour together.

Participants will be asked to have the following items on hand for the event:

  • An apple

  • A small smooth stone or gem
