In California, biodynamic farming has slowly been gaining popularity but the principles and practices have been around for almost a century. Biodynamics is a holistic, ecological, and ethical approach to farming, gardening, food, and nutrition. Narrow Gate Vineyards in Placerville, CA began practicing organic farming in 2007 and became Demeter Certified Biodynamic in 2010.
We hope you will join fellow AWWEE members for this special event. We’ll start with an in-depth, nature hike and discussion led by the owner and winemaker to learn more about biodynamics and how recent environmental impacts such as drought, wildfires, and frost have been impacting farms. We’ll finish the event with a private cellar wine tasting paired with a house made charcuterie picnic box.
