Explore Sunol Regional Wilderness: Nature Walk and Networking

  • Sunol Wilderness Regional Preserve 1895 Geary Road Sunol, CA, 94586 United States (map)

Step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and join AWWEE for a refreshing outdoor gathering at Sunol Regional Wilderness, one of the East Bay’s most scenic and iconic open spaces.

This experience is a great way to connect with fellow members while enjoying a relaxed, group paced hike through rolling hills, oak woodlands, and beautiful canyon views. The hike will be approximately 1.5 miles round trip on gravel terrain with a gentle uphill climb.

This Naturalist Nature Exploration will be guided by East Bay Regional Park District’s Kirstina Parkison. During our time together, we will explore the natural beauty of Sunol and learn about some of the features that make this park such a unique destination, including peaceful trails, seasonal wildflowers, and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Whether you are a regular hiker or simply looking for a fun way to get outside and meet new people, this event is designed to be welcoming, energizing, and accessible.

Come ready for light movement, meaningful conversation, and a memorable morning in nature, with plenty of time to build new connections along the trail.

An optional no-host picnic lunch will follow the hike for those who wish to stay and continue connecting.
