About Our Speaker

Christine Fanous is the managing director for the Compliance, Vegetation & Operational Services department within Transmission & Distribution at Southern California Edison. She is responsible for the compliance, quality oversight, training, and support services associated with planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining SCE’s transmission and distribution facilities.  She also oversees the vegetation management activities across SCE’s 50,000 square mile service territory.

Previously, Christy was the director for the Pole Program Management department within Transmission & Distribution.  The department was responsible for $400 million in annual capital and O&M spend through the inspection, assessment, and remediation of over 1.4 million poles in the SCE transmission and distribution system.

During her career with SCE, Christy has held a variety of leadership and project management positions in Real Properties, Supply Chain Management, Operations Support, Information Technology, and Corporate Philanthropy.  Prior to joining SCE, Christy worked as a financial analyst in the phone center for Sparkletts®.

Christy earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California.  She is an advisory board member for the Executive Energy Course at the University of Idaho and is a mentor in the Women in Leadership program through the Western Energy Institute.
