About Heritage Growers

Heritage Growers was founded by River Partners, a team with extensive experience in large-scale habitat restoration across California. Their mission is to provide high-quality native seeds and plants that are essential for effective restoration projects. They emphasize the importance of using regionally appropriate native seeds, as these perform best when sourced from environments similar to the restoration sites.

Recognizing a gap in availability, River Partners established Heritage Growers to ensure access to these critical resources. What sets Heritage Growers apart is its unique business model—all profits are reinvested into River Partners’ statewide restoration efforts, reinforcing their commitment to ecological restoration. Their vision is to restore thousands of acres of habitat across California, collaborating with a wide range of partners, including restoration contractors, landowners, conservation organizations, and government agencies. With a focus on continuous learning and innovation, Heritage Growers aims to advance the science and practice of habitat restoration while fostering a legacy of rich biodiversity for future generations.
