Striving for Environmental & Engineering Excellence: Tour of Bowerman Landfill with Optional Lunch

Join us for a tour of one of the largest landfills in the United States. The Bowerman Landfill processes thousands of tons of waste daily, and it does so with sophisticated environmental protection systems to protect water, air, and habitat. The landfill is also home to Bowerman Power which utilizes landfill gas to power more than 25,000 average Orange County homes.

Transportation will be provided to tour the vast facility while viewing and discussing their environmental protection systems and engineering features.

After the tour, we’ll gather nearby for lunch (optional).

Registration is free for AWWEE members and 1 guest (individuals new to AWWEE, please).
