Inside the World of Nanobubbles: From Lab to Application

  • Moleaer 3232 West El Segundo Boulevard Hawthorne, CA, 90250 United States (map)

Join us for an exciting and educational event at Moleaer, where we will be exploring the cutting-edge science of nanobubbles and their diverse applications.

Demonstrations led by Moleaer's R&D scientists, Laureanne Parizot, Thuy Bui, and Zening Liu will walk us through the fascinating process of studying nanobubbles, using Malvern Panalytical’s Nanosight technology to observe and measure these tiny bubbles, and understand the properties and behaviors of nano-sized bubbles.

The Moleaer team of experts will provide attendees with a deeper dive on practical applications of nanobubble technology based on attendee interest. Please indicate which of the following applications most interests you when you register:

  • Wastewater treatment

  • Surface water management

  • Irrigation systems

We’ll end the event with time for networking over snacks and bubbly beverages.

What are nanobubbles?

Nanobubbles are 2,500 times smaller than a grain of salt that behave like charged particles. Unlike bubbles that rise to the surface and pop, they stay suspended in liquids for much longer. This stability allows nanobubbles to improve gas exchanges, deliver oxygen more efficiently, and speed up powerful chemical and biological processes.

Who is Moleaer?

Moleaer is the leader in nanobubble technology, unlocking a new class of nanoscience to deliver scalable and sustainable solutions that increase productivity, lower operational costs, and reduce water, energy and chemical footprints across industries.

With over 3,000 systems deployed globally, Moleaer’s patented nanobubble generators set the standard for efficient gas-to-liquid transfer and nanobubble production. Rooted in science and driven to advance nanobubble innovation, Moleaer’s team of industry experts collaborate with customers to create tailored solutions that solve their toughest challenges.

Our Presenters:

Laureanne Parizot, R&D Scientist

Laureanne is passionate about science and environmental protection with extensive experience in wastewater treatment. She earned her M.S in Mechanical Engineering for Renewable Energy from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. In the meantime, she worked as Business Engineer for a gates and screening supplier, discovering a new interest for water treatment. Laureanne pursued her career with a Ph.D. in the same University on cavitation bubbles and catalysts-based technologies to degrade organic molecules. She then moved to the U.S. and worked as Project Engineer in a wastewater treatment plant in Long Island, New York.  Afterwards, she joined Caltech as Postdoctoral Research Associate to characterize ozone bubbles in a packed column for toilet water treatment. As an R&D Scientist at Moleaer, Laureanne studies nanobubbles properties to develop new applications in water and wastewater treatment.

Thuy Bui, R&D Scientist

Thuy received her Master and PhD. degrees in Environmental Engineering from Seoul National University (Republic of Korea). She has 12 years of experience working in water and wastewater treatment, focusing on micro-and-nanobubble technology, sustainable urban drainage solution, and sludge management. At Moleaer, Thuy strives to bring her passions to nanobubble community.

Zening Liu, R&D Scientist

Zening is an enthusiastic chemist with an established research background in colloidal and surface chemistry of nanophase materials. He earned his Master of Science in Applied Chemistry from Huazhong Agricultural University with research interests in photocatalysts. He then moved to the U.S. and accomplished his Ph.D. in Chemistry at Auburn University where his research focused on surface chemistry of colloidal liposomes. After that, he joined Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a postdoctoral research associate studying soft matter. In his free time, Zening is full of passion for line art hand drawing and never declines an opportunity to visit galleries and museums. He also enjoys cooking, using his sense of chemistry to make delicious Sichuan cuisine. Beyond that, Zening loves being outdoors and appreciating natural wonders.

Andrea White, P.E., Director of Water Process Engineering

Andrea has a passion for protecting the environment and has dedicated her career to improving water quality using new and emerging technologies. She has a broad-based knowledge of water and wastewater treatment design, specializing in biological and chemical oxidation processes and gas-to-liquid transfer. In her current role, Andrea leads the Application Engineering team at Moleaer, where her research focuses on developing the science of nanobubbles and their application within the Water-Environment-Food nexus.

Dr. Denise Devotta, Senior Limnology, Application Development

Denise, a dedicated Limnologist, holds both a Masters and PhD in Environmental Sciences, with a focus on Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. With over 15 years of expertise, she has led groundbreaking research and applied freshwater science to tackle global water quality challenges with remarkable success. Known for her collaborative spirit, Denise has partnered with prestigious organizations such as the United Nations Environment Programme, U.S. Congress, and governments of both the U.S. and Singapore, as well as various private industries and NGOs, addressing a spectrum of water-related issues. Hailing from Singapore, Denise's passion for freshwater ecology stems from her profound appreciation of its pivotal role in sustaining life and her endless fascination with the wonders of the natural world.

Rita Pinto de Abreu, Global Irrigation Water Team Leader

Rita brings extensive agriculture and irrigation expertise to Moleaer's irrigation water team. Previously, she served as VP of International Client Relations for Responsive Drip Irrigation, overseeing global sales and marketing strategies for their unique technology. At Rain Bird Ibérica S.A., Rita led the Iberia Landscape Sales team and managed the Portugal district prior to that, and at K-Rain Manufacturing Corporation where she was the Europe & Middle East Sales Manager. She holds degrees in Forest Engineering and Forest Production Engineering and comes from a family of agronomists and irrigation specialists.
