Clean Air and Green Spaces: Park Clean-Up Day

  • Howe Community Park 2201 Cottage Way Sacramento, CA, 95825 United States (map)

Join us for a morning of community service and networking in Sacramento.

Howe Community Park currently lacks a smoke-free parks ordinance and is underserved. Together with the Sacramento Region Chapter of Breathe California, we’ll be on a mission to collect tobacco litter to gather valuable local data and support initiatives aimed at maintaining a smoke-free and pristine environment for families to enjoy.

By participating in this event, you'll not only help to beautify the park but also contribute to important research and advocacy efforts that aim to make our public spaces healthier and more welcoming for everyone.

Let's come together to protect our parks and create a safer, healthier place for our community to thrive. Your participation matters—join us in making a positive impact!

Optional Networking Lunch

If there’s interest among participants, we’ll continue the networking over lunch after the park cleanup. The group will meet at Dos Coyotes Border Cafe in Market Square at the Arden Fair Mall. AWWEE will cover the cost for shared appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks. Please note on your registration form if you are interested in joining for lunch.

Registration

This is a free event. AWWEE members, friends, and family are all welcome to participate. Please note on your registration how many people will be in your group.
